Now that there, my friends, was a Good Book. It stirred the soul it was dramatic, it was riveting to the end and was populated by a cast of interesting characters and set in an interesting period, while also having a decent moral message. It took the author six years to write it; it took me three days to finish all of its 600+ pages - and they weren't days I did nothing besides, either.

Perhaps I would stop perceiving my life as a failure when I consider its futility, its lack of seriousness and the importance of just being with the people you care about.

Then again, I may seriously regret not achieving while I still have the chance - why do these things seem to be contradictory? Why must there be confounding factors? Why must I let one person drive me up the wall so much? Can't one just chill out, have fun, and achieve effortlessly at the same time?
